Wireless Internet Providers If you are Living in India, you might be aware of the problems of getting fast internet. The World is working on 8Mbps, sometimes 16Mpbs, but here in India, 2Mbps is a rare thing.

Only BSNL, Airtel and Reliance are offering more than that, but the pricing is still high.

And if you are looking for a Wireless Internet Provider, you need to do a lot of research , as no company is good in offering a fast wireless internet connection. Here are few service providers who offers fast wireless internet.

Tata Indicom

Tata Photon

Tata is said to work better with their new Tata Photon, Tata, is providing a speed of 3.1 Mbps, But, I have used it,and I have got more than 256mbps.Maybe there will be a time of day or night when you can get 3.1 mbps but not always.

Reliance

The other one is Reliance Netconnect from Reliance, which has got good reviews, this internet service  can be used in 20,000 cities and 4.5 lacs villages in India, covering almost everywhere in India. It has a speed of 3.1mbps using the data card. The installation is very simple. The device costs Rs 3500.00 and the charges are affordable. The Unlimited Package comes at Rs1500/-.

Airtel

Airtel Wireless

Airtel offers best internet speed possible for Wireless Internet but the speed is limited to metro Cities only, when you use it in other cities, like I did in Lucknow, Chandigarh, Shimla. But, if you are not travelling a lot, you can choose Airtel as it gives the unlimited internet surfing, downloading package for Rs999/-.

I am currently using TATA Photon Whiz via USB.  It costs Rs. 2400 for the unit and Rs. 700 per month.  They claim the speeds up to 156 kbps but it varies from 1 kbps to 140 kbps.  It works in main cities and also small towns and villages.  I purchased it from Khanna city and used it from Doraha to Hoshiarpur.   So, it is better than having no connection but it is not fast as I was expecting.

I was told that TATA Photon will work anywhere in India.  So far, so good.

If anyone knows any other company that offers reliable wireless connection for travellers that is faster than 156 kbps, please share so that in future I can try that.

    Thank you.

i dont know about best but i am able to point out the worst in industry in terms of service is Airtel.
Even when you call their Nodal Officer then from 9:30 to 6:30 no one picks the call or just a voice message that ‘Our Nodal officer is busy’ and after 6:30 PM or before 9:30 AM, they say that you can call between 9:30 to 6:30 to talk nodal officer.
Worst service i have in my life is Airtel Wirelss Internet.
