Previously all the mobile operators were charging their customers on per minute basis by making a pulse of 60 seconds, but earlier this year, Tata DOCOMO ( Tata GSM) announced this unique plan of Pay Per Second, under which you pay for per second usage. say for example, if you talk for 61 second you will be charged for 61 seconds only and not for the whole 120 Seconds (as every pulse is 60 seconds). This plan became an instant hit where ever Tata DOCOMO was available,
But, after this plan MTS available in very few states, came forward with this plan of pay per second. And now BSNL has joined in by Launching their pay per second plan ( currently for Karnataka only)
To avail this feature one has to purchase a New Prepaid Pack of Rs.54 dubbed as Bindas-54 after that recharge it with STV-45 to enjoy all calls at 1 paisa for one second for LOCAL to any network and STD calls charges would be 2 paisa per second to any network across India.
Is it going to be a Hit?
Well, it already is a hit. people seem to liking this idea of getting charged on per second basis. this will be more beneficial for people who talk less. People who talk more than 10 minutes, is not going to affect them. As the STD an Local Calls will still be higher in comparison to other Plans where Locals calls are as low as 10paise/minute and STD calls are 50paise/minute.
