India now has a Sigh for Rupee

Last year the a the Reserve bank of India finalized few sighs for Indian Rupee and were open for public voting in order to select the most meaning full and unique sigh for Indian Rupee.

The jury finally has selected this Symbol which had been designed by a IIT Post graduate D Udaya Kumar.

The sign includes β€˜Ra’ of Devnagiri and the Roman β€˜R’ There is a parallel line which denotes the equal to sign.

The Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ambika Soni in New Delhi saif-
"With this India will join an elite group of countries which have a distinct currency symbol. It denotes the robustness of Indian economy. I will now hold up the design that was finally selected. This was sent in by Udaya Kumar,"

This will take sometime to implement, we probably will be seeing the new Rupee notes in sometime
