Indian Premier League (IPL) and its licensing partner Global Cricket Ventures (GCV) have partnered with July Systems to launch an IPL mobile internet service that will allow people with an internet enabled mobile phone, across handset types or networks, to access live video updates, action replays and video score cards of IPL matches at m.IPLT20.com

People in India are crazy about Cricket, and it is seen that they have started getting crazy about high end mobile phones too. and this is the time when new technologies are being introduced in India. Many people would be make use of this service, I too am going to enjoy this season on my Nokia n97 Mini, what about you?

Nexus One, The Google Phone will be launched in India Soon

Everyone was happy with the news when Google announced Nexus One, but I knew that i was not going to buy it as i would not be available in India anytime sooner.

Finally its Coming to India. Google has decided to Launch Nexus One in India. it would not be the Original Nexus One phone, here is what Google has to say about it.

Nexus One will not come to India in its US avatar, the India specific Google Phone may be a stripped down version and priced lower!

There are already plenty of Smart Phones available in India, lets see if Google Phone can bring some revolution.

Opera 10.5 Final Version Available For Download

Opera has now finally released the 10.5 version of its web browser for the windows platform. However Opera has not released it for Linux and Mac as it seems that they are still developing. Opera claims that Opera 10.5 Web Browser is the fastest web browser on the planet. Opera 10.50 comes with the new Opera Carakan JavaScript engine. This new Carakan Javascript Engine is the reason behind the fast loading of web pages.

Moreover, the first thing you would notice about Opera 10.5 is the new slick interface with great integration with Windows 7 features like Aero Peek and Aero Glass etc. New Zoom interface option allows you to zoom more than 3 times the original size of the web page. The address fields also look a little smarter.

On the security aspect, Fraud Protection and Extended Validation Certifications are the prime improvements. Private Browsing is now not only for the new window but also for the tab with 10.5 version.

Samsung’s Broadband HDTV To Come With Skype

Skype, which allows you to make free calls over the internet, will now come embedded with Samsung’s LED 7000 and 8000 series models. The embedded Skype Software on these Samsung HDTVs will allow users to make video and voice calls through the TVs.

Samsung has begun shipping such Television sets in the Korean Market. It will be available worldwide in the first quarter soon. Samsung has focused on the Entertainment and Communication aspect of its customers by allowing Skype to be embedded in their HDTVs. With this, Samsung users will now be able to avail rich video communication with Skype which delivers this to millions of users all over the world.

This strategic partnership between Skype and Samsung has allowed Skype to further enhance its video calling capabilities. The Samsung LED 7000 and 8000 series televisions features Samsung’s free Internet@TV service, which allows access to selected online content.

Skype accounts can be created using a simple remote control of the Television Set and a user interface which is very much the Skype would appear for the users to create accounts and perform calls.

Reliance Mobile India has now come up with a new offer for all its GSM and CDMA subscribers. The new plan is named Weekend Masti Plan. Reliance Mobile users can avail this offer by recharging their phones for Rs.33. By this offer, the users can make unlimited free local calls from their Reliance Mobile to any other Reliance Mobile.

This Weekend Masti Plan is valid only for the weekend. You can start from Saturday 00.01 Hour and the offer expires on Sunday 23.59 Hour.
Weekend Masti Plan can also be availed through e-recharging.
However this plan is available only to make calls to other Reliance mobiles. If you make a call to any other network other than Reliance, then you will be charged as per your existing plan.

BSNL Offers Broadband Internet At Speeds of 24 Mbps

BSNL now seems to put an end to your slow Internet connections creating headaches for the people. The state owned operator, BSNL, has now announced a new offer which offers Broadband Speed at 24 Mbps.

There are two tariff plans which BSNL has introduced. The one with speed 16 Mbps and the other with speed 24 Mbps. The Tariff Plan for 16 Mbps connection costs you Rs.4,999 per month while a 24 Mbps connection costs you Rs.9999 per month.

But the biggest disappointment is that the 24 Mbps broadband connection will be available only to customers located at a distance of up to 500 metres (0.5 Kilometers) from the BSNL exchange. Adding to that a 16 Mbps broadband connection is available to only those residing up to about 1 km away. Just when we thought this is a good plan offered by the BSNL this restriction makes these plans virtually unavailable for the potential customers.

Apple iTunes 10 Billionth Song Download Completed

Apple’s iTunes has achieved an incredible milestone. Yes, it has completed 10 billion downloads of songs by the users. Incidently the day was Apple CEO Steve Jobs 55th birthday. The lucky person who downloaded that 10 billionth song has got $10,000 worth iTunes gift card. Surely, Steve Jobs would have been very much delighted with this achievement.

iTunes was launched by Apple nine years ago and since then, they have grown exponentially. From the list that was posted on Apple’s website, most downloaded track was from band Black Eyed Peas track ‘I got feeling’, followed by Lady Gaga song – Poker face.

Surprisingly, it was just in April 2009, Apple celebrated its 1 Billionth Song Download. Now after Apple iTunes, iBook Store is the next sensation. Yes, with the arrival of Apple iPad, iBook Store downloads would be the next target for Apple.

Twitter Records 50 Million Tweets Per Day

Twitter, the popular micro-blogging site, has shown phenomenal growth over the past two years. Since its launch in 2007, Twitter has grown exponentially. You don’t need any metric analysis to check Twitter. You can analyze the number of tweets made to explore its growth. Twitter, during its launch in 2007, recorded 5000 tweets per day. In 2008, it went up significantly to 3 million tweets per day. Now in 2010, it has reached a whopping 50 million tweets per day.

According to the vice president of Twitter communications, Sean Garrett, 20% of tweets are made in reference to a product or brand name. However many spam attempts recently made Twitter to think a lot about its security. However it has never shown a decline when it comes to the number of users. Though, in comparison with other sites such as YouTube, which serves billions of videos every day or Facebook, which serves 8 billion messages sent over chat, Twitter is a small micro-blog. But Twitter has many hurdles to cross over to become a top site in the competitive online world.
