Apple’s iTunes has achieved an incredible milestone. Yes, it has completed 10 billion downloads of songs by the users. Incidently the day was Apple CEO Steve Jobs 55th birthday. The lucky person who downloaded that 10 billionth song has got $10,000 worth iTunes gift card. Surely, Steve Jobs would have been very much delighted with this achievement.

iTunes was launched by Apple nine years ago and since then, they have grown exponentially. From the list that was posted on Apple’s website, most downloaded track was from band Black Eyed Peas track ‘I got feeling’, followed by Lady Gaga song – Poker face.

Surprisingly, it was just in April 2009, Apple celebrated its 1 Billionth Song Download. Now after Apple iTunes, iBook Store is the next sensation. Yes, with the arrival of Apple iPad, iBook Store downloads would be the next target for Apple.
